How it works

Your path on VEXORA

Start in PvE

Learn the server, gather resources and build safely. Other players can't hurt you or damage your base.
Prepare your base

Explore, progress and prepare for the next challenge — monuments, raidable bases and events.
Switch to PvP when ready

Enter PvP when you want the fight and take on other PvP players. How to switch is explained in-game and on Discord.

Mode and team size are separate rules: your mode is PvE or PvP, and in either mode your team can have at most 3 players — all in the same mode.

Protected. Build, farm and explore without being hunted.

Farm, build, explore monuments and fight NPCs
You can't attack other players

Core server rules

Team rules

These two rules apply to every player, in both modes, every wipe.

Rule 1

Maximum team size: 3 players

Teams are limited to a maximum of 3 players.

A team can never have more than 3 members.
Alliances, unofficial teams or extra helpers that push a group past 3 players are not allowed.

Rule 2

No mixed PvE/PvP teams

PvE and PvP players cannot team up. All team members must play in the same mode.

PvE players may only team up with PvE players.
PvP players may only team up with PvP players.
PvE and PvP players cannot form or join the same team.
Never use one mode to give players in the other mode an advantage.

The wipe loop

Every wipe starts fresh. Gather resources, find a spot, build your first base and work your way up the tech tree. Monuments hold the best loot — and NPCs that bite back.

Start safe in PvE

Every survivor starts in PvE mode. Other players cannot hurt you or damage your base, and you cannot hurt theirs. Take your time to farm, build and learn the map.

Switch to PvP when you are ready

Want real fights? Switch to PvP. From then on you can fight other PvP players and raid their bases — and they can do the same to you.

Progression

Unlock blueprints, upgrade your base and gear up for the harder content: monuments, raidable bases and events.
